When foods are genetically modified, the modification acts as a vaccine towards the food, to make it more resistant to diseases or unsafe ingredients. 2.Better Overall Quality and Taste Because Genetic Modification make foods taste better, there is a better taste to the foods which are genetically modified. Peppers for example would taste more spicy, or more sweet depending on the modification. 3. More Nutrition Benefits Genetically Modified Foods have vitamins and minerals added to them that provide greater nutrition benefits to those who eat them. |
Cons1. Environmental Damage
Growing Genetically Modified Foods in an environment that doesn't support them can cause damage to the environment. 2. A growth in allergic reactions in the general population. Studies have shown that the consumption of Genetically Modified Foods increases the risks of food-based allergies in people. 3. There is no economic value towards Genetically Modified Foods. Genetically Modified Foods take the same effort to grow and just as much time to mature, therefore there is no economic value in them. |
